Product variants

Products can have variants, such as different sizes and colours. In the shop you set up all of the variants used across your products, and then enable specific variants on individual products. You can manage variants by clicking Variants in the shop management panel menu.

Terminology

A variant group is an attribute of a product that can be changed — for example, colour.

A variant is a particular value in a variant group — for example, green and blue could be variants in the colour variant group.

There are two types of variant group. The list type lets the customer select from a list of variants. The text field type lets the customer type in their own value — for example, for personalisation or gift messages.
