Viewing robot visit statistics

When viewing statistics, the Robot visits report shows how recently search engine robots have visited your site, as shown in figure 1.

Search engines use pieces of software known as robots, crawlers, or spiders to find new or updated content. A robot follows the links on web pages to find other pages, and the information found is incorporated into the database of the search engine, known as its index. This process is known as indexing, crawling, or spidering.
